A Situationist Quote

This is a good quote I just added to my email signature: "People who talk about revolution and class struggle without referring explicitly to everyday life, without understanding what is subversive about love and what is positive in the refusal of constraints, such people have a corpse in their mouth." -Raoul Vaneigem, "The Revolution Of Everyday Life" For more info, go to http://www.wikipedia.com and look up "situationism".

Nice quote.

Doesn't that apply to *all* political
action?

I don't really consider the quote to be about a specific political action per se, as much as being about living in such a way that is intrinsicly revolutionary.

P.S. Who are you and why are you reading my blog? Just kidding, I checked yours out, it looked pretty cool. Ever listen to Atari Teenage Riot?

Don't have a clue about Atari Teen-Age Riot.

Is that a new band or a recipe for some exotic
dish?

Just kidding.

OOOOHHHH. He already said that.

Is there an echo in here?

Y'all come back now, yaheah.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Situationism is the page that refers to the situationists.

This quote seems to be lost on 90% of people, unfortunately.

I should not have mentioned Atari Teenage Riot, it doesn't really have much to do with this other than being stuck in my head at the time and having similar basis in revolution.
